Math
Students will participate in winter-themed review stations in math workshop. Students will practice skills they've learned this year like addition and subtraction strategies, skip counting, and place value.
Later in the week, students will complete a three-act task where they view a video clip and see a picture with clues about how much money was dropped in a piggy bank. Students will use what they know about coins and skip counting to solve and share their thinking.
Science
Students will continue to discuss weather, and begin to discuss different characteristics of seasons. We will create a seasons anchor chart with symbols representing each season.
